Agricultural Practices to increase yields while lowering the environmental footprint
The global population continues to grow. By 2050, the world’s population is expected to reach 9.7 billion, resulting in a 40% increase in food demand over the same period.
Southeast Asia, one of the main areas contributing to this development, is also characterized by a rapidly growing middle class. Increasing demand for food and food quality, the need to protect the environment, growing labor shortages, and the need to reduce production costs are the main drivers of change in Southeast Asian agriculture.
Today, many government institutions are promoting the accelerated implementation of the concept of Agriculture 4.0. In addition, regional integration in economic cooperation, food trade development and agricultural innovation for sustainable food production is being promoted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in all Southeast Asian countries.
The AGRICONNECT Conference will address these issues with influential stakeholders to be better prepared for tomorrow’s agribusiness challenges and environmental impacts.
Share your smart solutions that would positively impact the region’s challenges in one of the seminars and use the exhibition and side events to expand your network.
The 4th edition of AGRITECHNICA ASIA, is once again ready to be the agricultural exhibition that covers all of Asia by focusing on Asia’s largest agricultural buyers from across the region. AGRITECHNICA ASIA emphasizes on agricultural engineering solutions that are both relevant and important to the development of agriculture in the Asian markets. Mechanization through modern machinery will increase significantly in the next decade mainly due to the growing labor shortages, more competition and therefore the requirement to reduce production costs. The DLG – German Agricultural Society, organizer of AGRITECHNICA in Hanover, Germany, and Dutch-Thai exhibition organizer VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific, organizer of VIV Asia in Bangkok, collaborate to establish one of the most powerful joint ventures in the agricultural exhibition industry.
The 4th edition of AGRITECHNICA ASIA will be held from 22 – 24 May 2024 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand, in conjunction with Horti Asia, the region’s largest trade exhibition for smart horticulture in Asia, and the special exhibition Systems & Components Asia.
